DAY 20: Heart Magic

To be able to feel and respond to what your heart wants is a matter of quieting the mind. As yogis, this is a natural process that occurs when we practice and meditate. This familiar connection is going to amplify today's magic to focus on the Anahata chakra, the energy of the heart.

First things first, find your top 10 heart's desire list. In a quiet spot, sit comfortably either in a chair or on the floor. Close your eyes and start by noticing the sound of your breathing. Follow the breath from the beginning stage all the way through to the end and notice how the it dissolves and arises into stillness. Once you feel relaxed and at ease, invite your mind to focus on the area around your heart. If you like, you might physically place your right hand over your heart and cover it with your left. Now say to yourself in your mind or out loud, 'Thank You'. Feel the tremendous amount of gratitude for YOU. and everything that you are.

Now hold your top 10 heart's desire list in your hands. Read the first sentence on your list, out loud or in your mind, close your eyes and say the magic words,' Thank you.' Continue to go through each sentence and repeat the practice. Allow the words to emulate from the heart and feel the sensation of gratitude that elevate your desires. As a result of this practice, you might experience a wave of joy and a deep feeling of peace that stays with you for the rest of the day.

Magic Practice #20 Heart Magic 1. Count your blessings. Make a list of 10 blessings. Write WHY you're grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say, Thank you, thank you, thank you (3x), and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

2. Focus your mind and attention on the area around your heart. (This practice can be done before or after yoga too)

3. Close your eyes, and while keeping your mind focused on you heart, mentally say the magic words, 'Thank You.'

4.Take your Top 10 Desire List (from Day 13), and practice Heart Magic by reading each desire, then closing your eyes, focusing in your mind on the area around your heart, and slowly saying 'Thank you,' again.

5. Before you go to sleep, take your magic rock in one hand and say the magic words, Thank you, for the best thing that happened during the day.
